What is confirmed

In the Ministry of Home Affairs and PIB list for the Jeevan Raksha Padak 2024 series, “Shri Muhammad Hashir N K, Kerala” is recorded as a recipient of the Jeevan Raksha Padak. That confirms national recognition for a humane act of saving a life.

What is not yet known

Despite searches in English and Malayalam, we have not found a reliable, detailed record of the incident itself. Not every brave act becomes a national headline, and the names of ordinary lifesavers often survive in award lists long after their stories have faded from view.

Writing “not found” is better than filling the gap with guesswork.

How his story can be completed

An authoritative record from the state or district administration, the police or the Fire and Rescue Services, or a local press archive would let this profile grow into a full story. If you know Muhammad Hashir N. K. or have documents about this rescue, please use “Nominate a hero” to share them with us.
